Our mum was born in Coralstown, her family was not very wealthy but she was happy, unfortunately her parents died when she was young, only 10 and she was placed in a Mary Magdeline home as a orphan along with her sister elizabeth. Life was very hard and the nuns were not kind, when she was 16 she ran away to Dublin and got a job in a hospital.
